Las Vegas AcesvsToronto Tempo
LV 88/TOR 78
Things to say
The Las Vegas Aces beat the Toronto Tempo 88-78 on the road.
01
opener
Aces took care of business in Toronto, 88-78. Never really close in the second half. Vegas just had too much.
02
key player
A'ja Wilson did A'ja Wilson things — 27 and 7 dimes. She's the best player in the league and it's not close.
03
hot take
Toronto's an expansion team at 11-26, but they're not embarrassing anybody. That's a real foundation.
04
deep cut
Kia Nurse dropped 19 to lead the Tempo. Nice to see her cooking after everything she's been through with injuries.
05
exit
Anyway, Vegas is locked in for the playoffs — that's the team nobody wants to see in the bracket.
The recap
Vegas rolled into Toronto and handled business, 88-78, behind another A'ja Wilson clinic. She stuffed the sheet with 27 points and 7 dimes, doing damage in the paint and running the offense whenever the Aces needed a bucket.
Toronto hung around and Kia Nurse gave them 19, but they just don't have the horses to trade blows with a 26-13 contender. Tempo take the L and drop to 11-26 as Vegas keeps stacking wins.
