The recap
Athletics walked it off 12-11 in the tenth against the Angels, and you could feel the bullpen wheezing on both sides all night. Heart of the order kept trading haymakers — every time LAA punched ahead, the A's answered, and somebody clearly left the yard late to force extras.
Manager went to the pen way too early and it nearly cost them, but the A's squeezed across the winner in the bottom of the tenth. Sloppy, loud, exactly the kind of getaway-day game where nobody's WHIP comes out looking pretty.
