The recap
The Angels went into Sacramento and slugged their way to a 9-7 win on a getaway-day shootout where nobody's bullpen wanted any part of it. Both starters got knocked around early, so this turned into a battle of who could stack crooked numbers, and LA's lineup just kept the line moving.
The A's clawed back to make it interesting, but the Halos answered every time and held on. Not pretty, but a road win's a road win, and Los Angeles snaps out of the funk a little at 32-47.
