Angels rolled into Chase Field and slapped a 7-zip shutout on the Diamondbacks, which is not the script anybody had for a 30-44 club. Without a box score in front of me the carry job was clearly on the mound — you don't blank a big-league lineup unless the starter got into his stuff early and the bullpen slammed the door.
Turning point was probably the Halos jumping out first and Arizona's bats never finding a pulse, because once you're chasing a shutout the heart of the order starts pressing. Ugly getaway-day vibes for the Snakes, and the Angels finally look like they remembered how to play baseball.
