Los Angeles AngelsvsBaltimore Orioles
LAA 2/BAL 5
Things to say
The Orioles beat the Angels 5-2 at Camden Yards on Tuesday night.
01
opener
Orioles took care of business at home, 5-2. Never really felt in doubt after the middle innings. Camden was rocking a little.
02
key player
The heart of the O's order did the damage, one of those left the yard early and set the tone. Angels just didn't have an answer.
03
hot take
Honestly the Angels' arm got squeezed all night, and once you're behind at Camden with that short porch, forget it.
04
deep cut
Baltimore's pen slammed the door, gave up basically nothing late. That's the difference for a .500 club, they hold leads now.
05
exit
Anyway, we'll see if they can carry it into the next one, this stretch tells you a lot about where they're headed.
The recap
Orioles took care of business at home, knocking off the Angels 5-2 on a getaway day at Camden Yards. Baltimore's bats did just enough against LA's arms, and the bullpen slammed the door once they grabbed the lead.
The Angels never really got into their stuff at the plate, stranding traffic and going quiet through the heart of the order. At 43-71, it's the same old story for LA, while the Orioles keep clawing back toward .500.
