Aston VillavsHull City
AVL 0/HUL 0
Things to say
Hull City and Aston Villa played to a 0-0 draw at the MKM Stadium.
01
opener
Yeah, that one ended nil-nil. Not a lot of goals, but both keepers earned their money. Clean sheet on each end.
02
key player
Zion Suzuki was the reason Villa got a point. Four saves in the Hull net, kept them off the board all afternoon.
03
hot take
Villa's 0-1-2 now. They can't keep drawing games and calling it progress. That's points they're leaving on the table.
04
deep cut
Lindelöf put up a hundred accurate passes from the back. Villa basically ran everything through him and still couldn't find the net.
05
exit
Anyway, both sides need a win soon. Curious to see if Villa finally shows up in the final third next week.
The recap
This one ended nil-nil, and if you're looking for highlights you're out of luck. Hull City and Aston Villa spent 90 minutes canceling each other out, with both keepers barely tested and neither side finding the net.
Zion Suzuki made four saves to keep the clean sheet for Villa, while Hull's Oliver McBurnie led the way with all of three shots that went nowhere. A point apiece, and honestly nobody did enough to deserve more.
