The recap
Astros squeaked one out 8-7 at Kauffman on a getaway day, and you could feel it tighten in the late innings. Houston's bats kept nibbling, Kansas City answered, and the bullpen on both sides got tested hard once the starters were pulled.
The Royals had the tying run in scoring position late but couldn't punch it through, and Houston walked out of KC with the series swing. Both clubs are still under .500, but the Astros look like they're slowly figuring it out.
