The recap
The Twins turned Target Field into a batting cage and outslugged the A's 11-8 in a game that never really settled down. Minnesota kept piling on, and once they got Oakland's starter out of there they feasted on the middle relief, which is where this thing got out of hand.
The A's put up 8 of their own, so it's not like the bats went quiet, but they could never claw all the way back. Getaway-day sloppiness all around, and the home team just had the deeper lineup.
