Chicago BearsvsTennessee Titans
CHI 24/TEN 15
Things to say
The Chicago Bears beat the Tennessee Titans 24-15 at Nissan Stadium.
01
opener
Bears took this one 24-15, and honestly it wasn't that close. Chicago jumped out early and Tennessee spent the whole night playing catch-up. Titans just couldn't move the ball when it mattered.
02
key player
Tyson Bagent was surgical — 16 of 17 for 208 and two scores. You don't miss one pass all night by accident.
03
hot take
Will Levis at 143 yards tells you everything. Titans couldn't stay on the field, and the Bears defense bailed out nothing because it never had to.
04
deep cut
Zavion Thomas took a screen 97 yards to the house on the opening drive — five catches, 140 yards. That one play flipped the whole game script.
05
exit
Anyway, Bears look sharp heading into the opener. Curious if Bagent keeps that job.
The recap
Tyson Bagent was basically perfect in this one, going 16-of-17 for 208 and two scores while Chicago cruised to a 24-15 win in Nashville. The dagger came early when Zavion Thomas took a short pass 97 yards to the house, and Thomas finished with 140 receiving on the day.
Tennessee just couldn't punch it in, settling for three Joey Slye field goals and not finding the end zone until D'Ernest Johnson's garbage-time run made the score look closer than it was. Bagent's efficiency and Roschon Johnson grinding out yards on the ground was more than enough to keep the Titans chasing all night.
