Bethune-Cookman WildcatsvsUCF Knights
BCU 6/UCF 73
Things to say
UCF blew out Bethune-Cookman 73-6 at the Bounce House.
01
opener
Yeah, UCF just ran Bethune-Cookman off the field, 73-6. It was over by the second quarter. Total mismatch.
02
key player
Duke Watson only touched it seven times and went for 110 and a score. Fifteen yards a pop. Give that man the ball.
03
hot take
Barnett threw a pick and it didn't matter one bit. When you're rushing for seven touchdowns, the quarterback's just along for the ride.
04
deep cut
BCU didn't get on the board until the clock hit zero. That's not a touchdown, that's a mercy score.
05
exit
Cupcake opener though, so we'll learn nothing 'til they hit real Big 12 competition. Talk next week.
The recap
This was a woodshed beating, plain and simple. UCF hung 73 on Bethune-Cookman and the Wildcats couldn't move the ball to save their lives, not finding the end zone until Joel Morris hit Kobe Stewart as the clock hit zero.
Duke Watson ripped off 110 yards on just seven carries while the Knights emptied the bench and let seven different guys score touchdowns. Will Stone might've had the easiest night in college football, booting extra points all evening long.
