The recap
The Mets torched the Braves 14-3 at Citi Field and it wasn't even that close by the third. New York's bats got into Atlanta's starter early and just kept the line moving, running him and then chasing the guys behind him out of the yard.
This was a get-right game for a 45-62 club that pretty much never happens, but everybody in that lineup was seeing beach balls all night. Braves are the class of the division at 62-44, so chalk this one up as a getaway-day dud and move on.
