Reds took down the Braves 6-4 at Great American, which is a nice scalp considering Atlanta rolled in at 40-20 and looks like the class of the league right now. Cincinnati's been scrappy all year hovering around .500, and getting a home win against the heart of that Braves order is the kind of thing that keeps a club honest.
No box-score heroes jumped out of the wire, so chalk this one up to a complete team effort and probably a bullpen that actually held the lead for once. Braves drop a winnable getaway-day type game, but at 40-20 nobody in Atlanta is losing sleep.
