Brewers snuck out of Busch with a 4-3 win, and this one stayed tight the whole way. Milwaukee scratched across just enough offense to nudge ahead of a Cardinals team that couldn't quite string together the big inning it needed.
St. Louis had chances but left too many runners stranded, and the bullpen couldn't slam the door late.
Milwaukee's now sitting pretty at 56-33 while the Cards drop back to a game over .500.
