Milwaukee BrewersvsNew York Mets
MIL 8/NYM 1
The Milwaukee Brewers beat the New York Mets 8-1 at Citi Field.
The recap
Brewers rolled into Citi Field and left with an 8-1 laugher, and honestly it wasn't that close. Milwaukee's bats got into the Mets' pitching early and never let up, stacking runs while their starter cruised and handed a comfy lead to the pen.
New York managed a lone run and never threatened, another quiet night for an offense that's been sleepwalking. At 82-51, the Brewers just keep humming; the Mets keep sinking.
Getaway day, nothing to say — except Milwaukee looks like the real deal.
