The Cardinals bats went quiet, managing just a single run and never really threatening the heart of the order to make it interesting. Los Angeles did its damage in front of a bullpen that barely had to sweat, cruising to the finish on a getaway day.
For a 41-61 club, this was the kind of clean, wire-to-wire win they don't get to enjoy very often.
