The Cardinals walked into Kauffman and turned it into a track meet, outslugging the Royals 12-10 in a game where nobody's bullpen wanted to record an out. St.
Louis kept stacking crooked numbers and the heart of the order left the yard more than once to build the cushion they needed. Kansas City clawed back to make it a two-run nailbiter, but every time they got close, the Cards answered right back.
The Royals at 32-46 are showing why the runs keep crossing in bunches, while St. Louis takes the series and stays comfortable above .500.
