MTL 4/DC 4

Apple TVAudi Field
Things to say

D.C. United and CF Montréal played to a wild 4-4 draw at Audi Field.

01
opener
Did you catch the DC-Montréal game? Four-four. Absolute basketball score at Audi Field, neither side could buy a clean sheet.
02
key player
Prince Owusu had seven shots for Montréal and looked like the most dangerous guy on the pitch all night.
03
hot take
Sean Johnson made four saves and still let in four. That's not a goalkeeping problem, that's a back line that's completely checked out.
04
deep cut
Matthew Longstaff completed 51 passes for Montréal. The guy was basically running the midfield by himself.
05
exit
Anyway, both these teams are sitting near the bottom of the East, so we'll see if anyone figures out how to defend before the next matchday.
The recap

Wild one at Audi Field — D.C. and Montréal traded blows all night and finished 4-4, with both keepers getting peppered and neither side able to put it away. Prince Owusu was a menace up top for Montréal, firing seven shots and basically refusing to let his team lose, while João Peglow kept knocking on the door for D.C.

Thomas Gillier made six saves and still got beat four times, which tells you exactly how open this thing was. Both clubs walk away with a point they probably feel they should've turned into three.
