Clemson TigersvsLSU Tigers
CLEM 10/LSU 51
Things to say
LSU crushed Clemson 51-10 at home in Death Valley.
01
opener
LSU absolutely smashed Clemson, 51 to 10. It was over by halftime. Clemson just couldn't move the ball at all.
02
key player
Sam Leavitt was the whole show — 230 through the air, another 113 on the ground, three total touchdowns. Dude was running it like a tailback.
03
hot take
Honestly Clemson looked completely overrated. Ten points at LSU and a pick-six? That's not a top-tier defense, that's a team that quit.
04
deep cut
The pick-six from Jordan Ross right before the half was the dagger. Once the defense started scoring too, you knew it was a wrap.
05
exit
Anyway, LSU's for real this year. Curious to see what they do once conference play heats up.
The recap
LSU came out and smashed Clemson 51-10 in Death Valley, and it was never close after the first quarter. Sam Leavitt ran the show for the home Tigers, throwing for a score and tearing off two rushing touchdowns of his own while Winston Watkins Jr. hauled in 110 yards through the air.
The dagger came when Jordan Ross took an interception 30 yards to the house to make it 17-3, and from there the rout was on. Clemson couldn't move the ball all night, managing just 83 passing yards and a garbage-time touchdown long after this one was decided.
