Colorado RapidsvsColumbus Crew
COL 0/CLB 3
Things to say
Columbus Crew beat the Colorado Rapids 3-0 at home.
01
opener
Columbus took care of business at home, 3-nil over Colorado. Crew looked sharp start to finish. Never really in doubt.
02
key player
Josef Martínez was all over it up top, led the Crew with 4 shots and kept the Rapids back line honest all night.
03
hot take
Colorado's got the better record but you'd never know it watching this one. That's a soft showing for a team supposedly near the top.
04
deep cut
Patrick Schulte only had to make 2 saves for the clean sheet. When your keeper's that quiet, the guys in front of him did the work.
05
exit
Anyway, Crew are trending up at the right time. Curious to see if Colorado bounces back next match.
The recap
Columbus took care of business at home, hanging a 3-0 result on Colorado and never really sweating it. Josef Martínez led the way up top with four shots, and the Crew controlled things through the middle with Sean Zawadzki tidying up on both ends.
Patrick Schulte barely had to work for the clean sheet, needing just two saves. Colorado came in with the better record but couldn't find the net, and this one was over well before stoppage time.
