Colorado BuffaloesvsGeorgia Tech Yellow Jackets
COLO 14/GT 13
Colorado edged Georgia Tech 14-13 on the road at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
Georgia Tech moved the ball all night and had nothing to show for it — Mendoza threw for 237 and Jordan Allen went for 113 receiving, but the Jackets kept stalling out and settling for Aidan Birr field goals instead of finishing drives. That kept the door open, and Colorado kicked it in when Julian Lewis hit Charlie Williams on a 20-yard strike late to flip a 13-7 deficit into a 14-13 win.
Rahkeem Smith's 100-yard kickoff return was the other back-breaker, wiping out an early Buffs lead and swinging the field-position battle. Lamont Lester bullied the pocket for three sacks, and the Colorado defense bailed out an offense that only managed 124 through the air.
