Colorado RapidsvsSan Diego FC
COL 0/SD 3
Things to say
San Diego FC beat the Colorado Rapids 3-0 at Snapdragon Stadium.
01
opener
San Diego just handed Colorado a proper 3-nil paddling at home. Rapids never showed up. Clean sheet and it was never in doubt.
02
key player
CJ dos Santos barely broke a sweat in goal, two saves and a clean sheet. When your keeper's that quiet, you know the back line did its job.
03
hot take
Colorado's got a decent record but that was shambolic. You can't win a thing away from home playing like that.
04
deep cut
Rob Holding put up 15 defensive interventions for Colorado. When your center back is that busy, it tells you the whole game was camped in your half.
05
exit
San Diego's building something in that expansion year. Curious to see if they keep it rolling next week.
The recap
San Diego FC handed Colorado a proper 3-0 paddling at Snapdragon, and it was comprehensive from front to back. CJ dos Santos barely broke a sweat between the sticks for the clean sheet while the hosts carved the Rapids open at the other end.
Manu Duah was a wall in the back with nine defensive interventions, and Colorado never really threatened enough to make Nico Hansen sweat. A statement result for San Diego, and a night the Rapids will want to forget in a hurry.
