Dallas CowboysvsArizona Cardinals
DAL 34/ARI 13
Things to say
The Cowboys handled the Cardinals 34-13 in Arizona.
01
opener
Dallas went into Arizona and rolled, 34-13. It was over by halftime, honestly. Cowboys jumped out 21-3 and never looked back.
02
key player
Joe Milton III was the story — 9 of 13 for 179 and two touchdowns. Efficient as it gets. He didn't need a lot of throws to do damage.
03
hot take
The Cardinals just couldn't move the ball. Minshew put up 177 yards but a lot of that was empty, and they only cracked the red zone when it stopped mattering.
04
deep cut
The Camden Brown 77 yards on two catches jumped out — one 50-plus chunk play. And Jaydon Blue quietly ran for 75 on the ground, kept the chains moving.
05
exit
Anyway, Dallas looks like they're clicking early. Curious to see what they do once the regular season's for real.
The recap
Dallas came into the desert and never trailed, jumping out 14-0 on a Joe Milton bomb to Jonathan Mingo and cruising to a 34-13 win. Milton was surgical — 9-of-13 for 179 and two scores — while Jaydon Blue churned out 75 on the ground behind a line that owned the line of scrimmage all night.
Arizona's Gardner Minshew moved it fine between the twenties but the offense stalled in the red zone, settling for Chad Ryland chip shots instead of touchdowns. The Cardinals scratched across a late one to make it look closer, but Phil Mafah's fourth-quarter plunge was the dagger that put this one away for good.
