Chicago CubsvsArizona Diamondbacks
CHC 0/ARI 2
The Arizona Diamondbacks shut out the Chicago Cubs 2-0 at Chase Field.
The recap
Arizona grinded out a 2-0 shutout over the Cubs at Chase Field, and it was all about the arms. Diamondbacks pitching kept the heart of Chicago's order off balance all night, scattering nothing but zeros while the bullpen slammed the door late.
Two runs was plenty of cushion in a game where nobody could square anything up. Chicago's bats went quiet on a getaway day, and Arizona happily took the low-scoring nail-biter.
