Chicago CubsvsSeattle Mariners
CHC 19/SEA 2
Things to say
The Cubs hammered the Mariners 19-2 at T-Mobile Park.
01
opener
Yeah, that one got ugly fast. Cubs put up nineteen on the road. It stopped being a game around the fourth.
02
key player
The whole heart of the order was locked in. Everybody up and down that Cubs lineup left the yard or drove somebody in.
03
hot take
Seattle's staff had nothing today. Nobody got into his stuff, and the manager rode the bullpen way too long in a game that was already gone.
04
deep cut
On a getaway day too, so the M's basically punted the last one. You could see them saving arms for the flight.
05
exit
Cubs are 75-56, they're rolling. I'll be watching what they do next series.
The recap
This one was over by the third inning. Cubs dropped 19 on Seattle at T-Mobile Park and turned a getaway day into batting practice, with the heart of the order teeing off on anything near the zone.
Whatever the Mariners had planned, the pen got torched early and the leak turned into a flood. Chicago cruises to 75-56 and Seattle just wanted this one in the books.
