D.C. UnitedvsCharlotte FC
DC 1/CLT 3
Things to say
Charlotte FC beat D.C. United 3-1 at Bank of America Stadium.
01
opener
Yeah, Charlotte took care of business, 3-1. They were the better side all night and DC never really threatened. Comfortable win at home.
02
key player
Kahlina was solid in goal, four saves, but honestly Charlotte's attack did the work. DC had nothing going forward.
03
hot take
DC are in real trouble. 5-9-7 and getting knocked around like that? That's a bottom-of-the-table team.
04
deep cut
Munteanu had four shots for DC and still couldn't find the net. All that pressure, one goal to show for it.
05
exit
Charlotte's climbing the table. Be interesting to see if they can keep it going next week.
The recap
Charlotte FC took care of business at home, running out 3-1 winners over D.C. United on a comfortable night at Bank of America Stadium.
The hosts had too much for a struggling DC side that just couldn't keep the game tight, and Kristijan Kahlina tidied up anything that came his way with four saves. Louis Munteanu peppered the goal with four shots for the visitors but had precious little to show for it.
Charlotte climb the table while DC slump back to the road-weary end of the standings.
