Arizona DiamondbacksvsSan Francisco Giants
ARI 10/SF 6
Things to say
The Diamondbacks beat the Giants 10-6 at Oracle Park.
01
opener
D-backs went into San Fran and put up ten. Giants hung around but never really threatened. Oracle Park's a pitcher's yard and Arizona still made it look easy.
02
key player
Arizona's heart of the order carried it — double digits on the road means the top of that lineup was on base all night and the runs just kept coming.
03
hot take
Giants manager went to the pen too early again. You give up six, that's not the bats, that's the bullpen leaking runs.
04
deep cut
Ten runs at Oracle is the tell — that place kills offense, so putting up a crooked number there says more than the same total in a bandbox.
05
exit
Giants are buried at 55-80 anyway. Arizona's the one to watch down the stretch — they're playing like it matters.
The recap
Arizona rolled into Oracle Park and left with a 10-6 win that wasn't as close as the final looks. The Diamondbacks kept stacking crooked numbers, and the heart of their order did the damage while the Giants' pen coughed up runs it couldn't afford.
San Francisco chipped back to make it interesting, but at 55-80 they're just playing out the string. Arizona, meanwhile, keeps its foot on the gas in the playoff chase at 72-64.
