Arizona rolled into Petco and slammed the door, hanging a crooked number early and never looking back in an 8-0 laugher. The Diamondbacks bats got into their stuff and left the yard often enough to bury San Diego, while their starter carved through the heart of the order and kept the Padres off the board all night.
San Diego couldn't string anything together and watched a getaway series turn into a shutout at home. Arizona climbs back to .500 and sends the Padres home with nothing to show for it.
