Padres jumped all over Arizona at Petco and never looked back, cruising to a 10-4 laugher on getaway day. Ten runs means the bats were barreling everything up and the heart of the order did damage — you don't hang a crooked number like that without the middle of the lineup carrying it.
Once San Diego pulled ahead the Diamondbacks had to go to the pen early, and it snowballed from there. Arizona drops to 45-47 while the Padres climb back to .500 at 46-46.
