Arizona DiamondbacksvsBoston Red Sox
ARI 1/BOS 11
Things to say
Boston beat Arizona 11-1 at Fenway Park.
01
opener
Sox absolutely buried them, 11-1. It was over early. Fenway was a party by the fifth.
02
key player
The whole lineup ate — 11 runs, top to bottom. Heart of the order left the yard and never let up.
03
hot take
Arizona's starter had nothing today. Manager should've gone to the pen two innings earlier.
04
deep cut
One run for the D-backs all night. That's a getaway-day flight nobody enjoys.
05
exit
Anyway, Boston's rolling — I'll be watching if they carry it into the next series.
The recap
Boston turned Fenway into a batting cage and ran away with this one 11-1, and it never really felt close after the early innings. The lineup worked the count top to bottom, the heart of the order kept the line moving, and once the Diamondbacks went to the pen it just got uglier.
Arizona's lone run was a footnote — a wasted trip on a getaway day where nothing went right for the visitors. Boston gets back to five over .500 and sends Arizona home stinging.
