Snakes took it in Cincy, 5-3. Reds bullpen just couldn't keep the lid on it. Great American plays like a bandbox, so 3 runs was never gonna be enough.

Arizona walked out of Great American with a 5-3 win on a getaway day, flipping their record back over .500 while the Reds slid to 33-37. Without a box score in front of me the details are fuzzy, but a two-run cushion in that bandbox usually means the D-backs got into somebody's stuff late and the Reds bullpen couldn't slam the door.
Cincinnati's lineup never really threatened to put a crooked number up, and you could feel the air go out once Arizona tacked on. Quiet, professional road win — the kind that doesn't make SportsCenter but absolutely shows up in October math.
