Los Angeles DodgersvsAtlanta Braves
LAD 3/ATL 4
Things to say
The Braves edged the Dodgers 4-3 at Truist Park.
01
opener
Braves took it 4-3, real tight one all night. Atlanta scratched across just enough and the bullpen slammed the door. Dodgers left the tying run out there late.
02
key player
Atlanta's bats did just enough through the heart of the order, and whoever closed it out got into his stuff when it mattered.
03
hot take
LA's got the better record but they keep losing these one-run games. Eighty wins means nothing if you can't close in October.
04
deep cut
One-run game and the Dodgers only put up three despite the road matchup, Atlanta's pen barely gave them a sniff after the sixth.
05
exit
Anyway, big series spot with these two, curious who they run out there tomorrow.
The recap
Braves edged the Dodgers 4-3 in a tight one at Truist Park, the kind of one-run knife fight that comes down to the last at-bat. Atlanta scratched across just enough against a loaded LA lineup and made it stand, handing the NL's best a rare stumble.
The bullpen locked the door late and Atlanta held serve at home. Small margin, big result for a Braves club that keeps hanging around.
