Los Angeles DodgersvsColorado Rockies
LAD 11/COL 5
Things to say
The Dodgers beat the Rockies 11-5 at Coors Field.
01
opener
Dodgers rolled at Coors, 11-5. LA just kept stacking crooked numbers. Once the bats woke up it was never close.
02
key player
The heart of the LA order left the yard and did the damage. When the middle of that lineup gets into his stuff, good luck.
03
hot take
Look, an 11-run night at Coors is half thin air. Put that same offense at sea level and it's a tidy 6-3.
04
deep cut
Rockies at 50-75 in a getaway spot — you could see the pen was gassed. Their manager went to the bullpen too early and it snowballed.
05
exit
Anyway, Dodgers are 75-51 and cruising. Curious if they line up the rotation for the stretch run.
The recap
The Dodgers went into Coors Field and did what good teams do to bad ones, hanging 11 on the Rockies and coasting to an 11-5 win. Colorado kept it close early, but once the heart of the LA order got rolling, the bats left the yard and the game got out of hand fast.
The Rockies bullpen couldn't stop the bleeding, and at hitter-friendly Coors that's a recipe for a long night. LA moves to 75-51 while Colorado sinks to 50-75, and honestly this one was over by the middle innings.
