Atlanta DreamvsLas Vegas Aces
ATL 97/LV 82
Things to say
The Atlanta Dream went into Las Vegas and beat the Aces 97-82.
01
opener
Atlanta walked into Vegas and took it 97-82. The Dream just ate them up on the road. Nobody had that one.
02
key player
Rhyne Howard was cooking, 23 points and just splashing from deep all night. She carried them.
03
hot take
A'ja dropped 27 and 14 and it didn't even matter. When your MVP goes off and you still lose by 15, that's a team problem.
04
deep cut
Angel Reese quietly grabbed 10 boards and owned the paint. That's why Atlanta got every second-chance look.
05
exit
Aces better figure it out quick, playoff seeding's tightening up. Anyway, on to the next one.
The recap
Atlanta walked into Vegas and stole one, 97-82, and it wasn't as close as even that sounds. Rhyne Howard was cooking all night for 23, and Angel Reese did the dirty work with a double-double and 10 boards to control the glass.
A'ja Wilson had her usual monster line, 27 and 14, but she got zero help around her and the Aces just couldn't buy a bucket when it mattered. Vegas took the L on their own floor and it stung.
