Portland FirevsAtlanta Dream
POR 101/ATL 83
Things to say
Portland Fire beat the Atlanta Dream 101-83 on the road.
01
opener
Portland went into Atlanta and just ate them up, 101-83. Never really felt close. The Fire were getting whatever they wanted.
02
key player
Carla Leite was an absolute clinic — 26 and 6 dimes. Rookie's got no fear, just buckets all night.
03
hot take
Rhyne Howard drops 26 and it means nothing when the rest of the Dream can't buy a bucket. Atlanta's a one-woman show right now.
04
deep cut
Angel Reese grabbed 16 boards and it still didn't matter. Second-chance points don't help if you're down 18.
05
exit
Anyway, Portland's climbing back into it — I wanna see if they can keep this going next one.
The recap
Portland walked into Atlanta and stole one on the road, 101-83, and it wasn't as close as even that sounds. Carla Leite ran the show for the Fire with 26 and 6 dimes, just an absolute clinic from the young guard.
Rhyne Howard matched her with 26 of her own and Angel Reese cleaned the glass for 16 boards, but the Dream couldn't buy a bucket when it mattered and took the L at home. That's the Fire climbing back into the mix while Atlanta lets one slip.
