Fresno State BulldogsvsUSC Trojans
FRES 0/USC 39
Things to say
USC shut out Fresno State 39-0 at the Coliseum.
01
opener
USC just steamrolled Fresno State 39-0. It was never a game. The Trojans scored on basically every drive and the defense pitched a shutout.
02
key player
Jayden Maiava was surgical — 23 of 25 for 349 and three touchdowns. You don't miss two passes all night by accident, that guy's for real.
03
hot take
Honestly the two safeties tell you everything. When your opponent is giving up points in their own end zone, they flat-out couldn't move the ball.
04
deep cut
Trent Mosley quietly went off — four catches, 104 yards, two scores, including a 68-yard bomb. And Kennedy Urlacher had two sacks, yeah, that Urlacher bloodline.
05
exit
Anyway, 2-0 and they haven't been tested yet. We'll see what they've really got when the conference schedule hits.
The recap
USC ran Fresno State out of the Coliseum, 39-0, and it was never close. Jayden Maiava was surgical, going 23-of-25 for 349 yards and three touchdowns, with Trent Mosley hauling in two of them including a 68-yard bomb.
Fresno State couldn't move the ball to save their lives, coughing up two safeties and never sniffing the red zone the whole night. This one was a wrap by halftime and the Trojans coasted to a shutout.
