New York GiantsvsMiami Dolphins
NYG 26/MIA 3
Things to say
The Giants beat the Dolphins 26-3 at Hard Rock Stadium.
01
opener
Giants went into Miami and just handled them, 26-3. Wasn't even close. Dolphins couldn't move the ball all night.
02
key player
Jameis Winston looked sharp — 15 of 21 for 150 and ran one in himself. Efficient, no dumb throws for once.
03
hot take
Three points at home? Miami's offense is a problem. That's not a slow start, that's a red flag.
04
deep cut
Giants kicked field goals on basically every drive late — two from Ben Sauls in the second half just to twist the knife.
05
exit
Anyway, 0-2 Dolphins have real questions. Curious how they bounce back next week.
The recap
Miami got smacked around in a preseason snoozer, 26-3, and it was never close. Jameis Winston steered the Giants efficiently, going 15-of-21 for 150 and punching in an 11-yard scramble himself, while Devin Singletary added a rushing touchdown to blow it open early.
The Dolphins simply couldn't move the ball — Cam Miller managed all of 60 yards through the air and the whole offense mustered a single field goal. New York's defense pitched a near-shutout and cruised, tacking on a couple late kicks to make the final look even uglier.
