Mets took it 10-6 at home. It was a slugfest — nobody's arm looked comfortable out there. Once the Mets bats woke up in the middle innings it was pretty much over.

The heart of the order carried it — a couple guys left the yard and the Mets just kept the line moving. Ten runs doesn't happen without the middle of that lineup mashing.

Honestly? Ten-six with both teams under .500 tells you everything — this was two pitching staffs that didn't want to be there. Nobody got into his stuff.
