San Francisco GiantsvsNew York Mets
SF 9/NYM 5
The Giants beat the Mets 9-5 at Citi Field to take the getaway day.
The recap
The Giants rolled into Citi Field and left with a 9-5 win that never felt as close as the score. San Francisco kept putting up crooked numbers, working counts and stacking baserunners until the Mets bullpen buckled under the weight of it.
New York scratched back into it for a bit, but every time they got warm, the Giants answered right back. Getaway-day baseball for the Mets, and they're leaving town wondering where the arms went.
