San Francisco GiantsvsColorado Rockies
SF 3/COL 15
Things to say
The Rockies hammered the Giants 15-3 at Coors Field.
01
opener
Rockies just put a beatdown on the Giants, 15-3. That's Coors Field for you. Ball flies out there and San Francisco never had a chance.
02
key player
Whole Colorado lineup left the yard. When the heart of the order is teeing off like that, fifteen runs stops being a surprise.
03
hot take
Giants pitching is the real story. You can't give up fifteen and blame the altitude for all of it.
04
deep cut
Giants manager left his starter out to dry, then went to the pen too early the next inning. Classic getaway-day bullpen mess.
05
exit
Anyway, they run it back tomorrow. Curious if SF can actually pitch at Coors or if this gets ugly again.
The recap
Coors Field did its Coors Field thing and the Rockies absolutely buried the Giants 15-3. Colorado's bats left the yard early and often, and once the lead ballooned the manager could empty the pen without sweating.
San Francisco's starter never got into his stuff, got knocked around, and this one was a laugher by the middle innings. Getaway-day beatdown in the thin air, plain and simple.
