HOU 1/LA 1

Apple TVDignity Health Sports Park
Things to say

LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo FC played to a 1-1 draw at Dignity Health Sports Park.

01
opener
Galaxy and Houston ended up splitting the points, 1-1. Felt like LA had the better of it but couldn't put it away. Honest draw, I guess.
02
key player
Jonathan Bond bailed Houston out — five saves and a few of them were proper stops. Without him it's a Galaxy win.
03
hot take
Houston are sitting pretty at 7-1-6 and they nicked a point on the road playing not to lose. That's a contender move.
04
deep cut
Jakob Glesnes put up 101 accurate passes. Dude was basically running the show from the back.
05
exit
Anyway, long season — let's see if Galaxy can actually finish a chance next time out.
The recap

Galaxy and Houston played out a 1-1 draw at Dignity Health, and honestly it had the feel of a game both sides walked away from kicking themselves. Gabriel Pec was the liveliest guy on the pitch, peppering five shots and dragging LA forward most of the night.

Houston keeper Jonathan Bond was the difference-maker the other way, racking up five saves to keep the Dynamo in it when LA had them on the back foot. A point apiece, but Houston's the side still sitting pretty in the table with that 7-1-6 line.
