Sporting Kansas CityvsFC Dallas
SKC 3/DAL 4
Things to say
FC Dallas beat Sporting Kansas City 4-3 at Toyota Stadium.
01
opener
Dallas won it 4-3, and it was wide open all night. Seven goals, nobody wanted to defend. If you like offense, that was your game.
02
key player
Petar Musa was the handful up top for Dallas, team-high four shots. When he's on, that whole attack looks dangerous.
03
hot take
Giving up three goals and still winning? Dallas keeps playing like this and it burns them come playoff time.
04
deep cut
Keeper Jonathan Sirois had seven saves and still let in three. Without him it's a blowout, that's the scary part.
05
exit
Kansas City's basically cooked at 4-3-16, but Dallas is climbing. Curious where they land in the standings next week.
The recap
FC Dallas outlasted Sporting Kansas City 4-3 in a track meet at Toyota Stadium, the kind of wide-open game where nobody bothered playing defense. Petar Musa was the handful up top, peppering the net all night as Dallas kept answering every time Kansas City clawed back.
Goalie Jonathan Sirois had to make seven saves just to keep the win intact, so it was closer than a four-goal night sounds. Kansas City, sitting near the bottom at 4-3-16, hung around and found the net three times but couldn't get the stop when it counted.
