LA GalaxyvsCF Montréal
LA 2/MTL 2
Things to say
LA Galaxy and CF Montréal played to a 2-2 draw at Stade Saputo.
01
opener
Two-two, and honestly it should've been more. End to end at Saputo. Both keepers earned their money.
02
key player
Prince Owusu was a handful up top for Montréal, team-high four shots. He's the reason they weren't buried.
03
hot take
A point each is a point wasted for both. Neither of these sides is making a playoff push playing like that.
04
deep cut
Jakob Glesnes put in a shift for LA, fourteen defensive interventions. That's a center back single-handedly plugging leaks all night.
05
exit
Anyway, share the spoils. Curious who they draw next, that back line can't hold up every week.
The recap
Two teams scrapping in the bottom half traded blows in Montréal and split the points in a 2-2 draw. Prince Owusu kept peppering the LA goal with a team-high four shots, while Jakob Glesnes was busy mopping things up with 14 defensive interventions at the other end.
Neither keeper could earn a clean sheet, and neither side could grab the winner down the stretch. A point apiece that probably doesn't do much for either of these playoff hopefuls.
