LAFCvsD.C. United
LAFC 0/DC 0
Things to say
LAFC and D.C. United played to a 0-0 draw at Audi Field.
01
opener
Yeah, that one ended nil-nil. Chances both ways but nobody could find the net. Kind of a grind.
02
key player
Hugo Lloris was the story for LAFC. Four saves, clean sheet on the road. Still a wall at his age.
03
hot take
LAFC has Son Heung-Min and still can't score on a team sitting near the bottom? That's a problem.
04
deep cut
Kimito Nono had 15 defensive interventions for D.C. Dude was everywhere, that's why LAFC got nothing going.
05
exit
A point's a point for LAFC in the playoff race. We'll see if they wake up next match.
The recap
This one ended nil-nil at Audi Field, a scoreless draw that never quite cracked open. Son Heung-Min and João Peglow led the way with four shots apiece, but nobody could find the net, and both keepers stayed comfortable.
Hugo Lloris made the busier day of it with four saves to preserve the clean sheet for LAFC, while Sean Johnson barely had to lift a finger with just one. LAFC keeps rolling near the top of the table, and D.C.
United grabs a point they'll happily take given how their season's gone.
