LAFCvsReal Salt Lake
LAFC 2/RSL 2
Things to say
LAFC and Real Salt Lake played to a 2-2 draw at America First Field.
01
opener
Two-two, both teams grabbed a point. Wide open game, nobody wanted to sit back. Felt like whoever had the ball last was gonna win it.
02
key player
Diego Luna was everywhere for Salt Lake, team-high five shots. Guy is the engine, they go as he goes.
03
hot take
Hugo Lloris makes seven saves and still gives up two? That back line hung him out to dry all night.
04
deep cut
Nkosi Tafari quietly had a monster game for LAFC, 19 defensive interventions. Center back leading the team in shots too, which tells you how stretched that game got.
05
exit
Point apiece keeps them both in the mix out West. We'll see if it holds up when the playoff push heats up.
The recap
LAFC and Real Salt Lake played to a 2-2 draw in Salt Lake, and both sides walked away feeling like they let two points slip. Diego Luna was the busiest man on the field for RSL, peppering the goal with five shots and dragging the home team back into it.
The real story was in the nets, though — Hugo Lloris made seven saves to keep LAFC alive when Salt Lake was pushing for the winner. Loud, back-and-forth night, but neither team could find that one extra goal to break the deadlock.
