New York LibertyvsChicago Sky
NY 86/CHI 93
Things to say
The Chicago Sky beat the New York Liberty 93-86 at Wintrust Arena.
01
opener
Sky took care of business at home, 93-86 over the Liberty. New York never really got their offense going. Chicago just wanted it more down the stretch.
02
key player
Natasha Cloud went off for 35 and 6 dimes. She was cooking all night, absolute clinic.
03
hot take
Stewie got 22 but the Liberty look flat. Best record in the league means nothing if you sleepwalk into games like that.
04
deep cut
Cardoso ate them up in the paint, 12 boards and controlled the glass. Chicago won the rebounding battle and it showed.
05
exit
Liberty still sitting at 22-15, they'll be fine. Curious to see if they bounce back next one.
The recap
Chicago pulled off the upset, knocking off a Liberty squad sitting eight games above them in the standings, 93-86. Natasha Cloud put on an absolute clinic, dropping 35 with ice in her veins down the stretch and running the show.
Cardoso ate them up on the glass with 12 boards and owned the paint all night. Stewart's 22 and Ionescu dishing 12 dimes wasn't enough — New York took the L on the road.
