Minnesota LynxvsWashington Mystics
MIN 94/WSH 84
Things to say
The Minnesota Lynx beat the Washington Mystics 94-84 on the road.
01
opener
Lynx handled business in DC, 94-84. Never really felt close down the stretch. Minnesota's just on another level this year at 31-7.
02
key player
Olivia Miles dropped 24 and looked like the best player on the floor. Rookie's got no fear, gets to her spots whenever she wants.
03
hot take
Washington's fine, but they can't hang with the real contenders yet. They needed a monster night and just didn't have enough buckets.
04
deep cut
Kiki Iriafen quietly went for 19 and 13 in a loss. She was the one Mystic eating them up in the paint all game.
05
exit
Anyway, Minnesota's the team to beat. Curious to see who even slows them down come playoff time.
The recap
Minnesota rolled into DC and handled business, 94-84, and honestly the 31-7 Lynx just looked like the better team from the jump. Olivia Miles was the story, dropping 24 and getting buckets whenever they needed a stop-the-bleeding basket.
Kiki Iriafen balled out for Washington with a 19-and-13 double-double, but she didn't have enough help to keep pace. Mystics took the L and drop to 21-15, while Minnesota keeps rolling toward the top of the standings.
