Seattle went into Chavez Ravine and stole one from the Dodgers, 7-6, the kind of gutty road win that keeps a .500 club hanging around. The Mariners kept scratching and clawing, and when LA's bullpen door swung open the bats were waiting, flipping the lead in a game that had six-six deadlock written all over it.
Give credit to Seattle's arms for slamming the door late at Dodger Stadium, no small thing against the heart of that LA order. A one-run dogfight in enemy territory, and the M's are the ones who walked out grinning.
