The recap
Miami went into Sacramento and handled the A's 7-2, never really letting this one get close. The bats did the damage against Athletics pitching, piling up runs and letting their starter settle in and cruise into the late innings.
Oakland could only muster a pair, and by the time the heart of the order came up in the middle frames the Marlins already had a cushion the bullpen never sweated. Miami's now 48-42 and rolling; the A's drop to 41-48 and just couldn't slow the bleeding.
