Miami MarlinsvsAtlanta Braves
MIA 1/ATL 4
Things to say
The Braves beat the Marlins 4-1 at Truist Park to take the series finale.
01
opener
Braves handled Miami 4-1. Classic pitcher's game, low scoring the whole way. Atlanta just had the better arms.
02
key player
Atlanta's starter got into his stuff early and cruised. Kept the Marlins off balance and never let the heart of the order beat him.
03
hot take
Honestly the Marlins hang around at .500 but they can't hit when it counts. One run says it all.
04
deep cut
Getaway day, so both pens were probably managing fatigue. Atlanta's bullpen slammed the door and made that lead stand up.
05
exit
At 69-45 the Braves are just rolling. Curious to see if Miami can bounce back next series.
The recap
Atlanta took care of business at home, grinding out a 4-1 win over Miami on a getaway day at Truist. The Braves starter clearly got into his stuff early and handed a lead to the bullpen, which slammed the door the rest of the way.
Miami's bats never got going against the heart of Atlanta's staff, managing just the one run all afternoon. Nothing flashy, just a tidy, efficient win that keeps the Braves rolling at 69-45.
