Miami MarlinsvsAtlanta Braves
MIA 3/ATL 11
Things to say
The Atlanta Braves beat the Miami Marlins 11-3 at Truist Park.
01
opener
Braves took the Marlins to the woodshed, 11-3. Never really close after the middle innings. Atlanta's just rolling right now at 70-45.
02
key player
The heart of the order did the damage — Atlanta put up double digits and left the yard more than once. When they're barreling it like that, forget it.
03
hot take
Honestly the Marlins are a .500 club playing like it. You don't walk into Truist and expect to hang with this lineup.
04
deep cut
Miami's pen got exposed too — once the game got out of hand the manager was just eating innings with whoever was left.
05
exit
Anyway, Braves look scary heading into the next series. I'll take them to keep it rolling.
The recap
Atlanta turned this one into a laugher, hanging 11 on the Marlins and never letting Miami hang around. The bats got rolling early and the heart of the order kept the line moving all afternoon, turning a close game into a runaway.
Miami's staff couldn't find the strike zone when it mattered, and once Atlanta broke it open the bullpen just had to keep it clean. Braves cruise to 70-45 while the Marlins slip back to .500 at 58-58.
